One giant Countryside Festival for Northern Ireland

THE biggest Countrysports Fair in Northern Ireland is back this May and promises to be even better than before as the two-day spectacular expands to Three Great Events in One Giant Festival.

The hugely popular extravaganza is supported by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Lisburn City Council and saw 18,000 people attend last year. This year’s festival has been rebranded from The National Countrysports Fair to The Northern Ireland Countryside Festival and is celebrating its 10th anniversary taking place at Moira Demesne on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May. Stena Line offers scrum-thing special for Ulster fans

THOUSANDS of Ulster rugby fans will be descending on London on May 19 for the all-Irish Heineken Cup final and leading ferry company Stena Line is offering superb packages to make sure loyal supporters reach Twickenham in time to cheer on Brian McLaughlin’s men against Brian O’Driscoll’s Leinster.

Ulster secured their place in the decider at Twickenham with a brilliant semi-final victory over Edinburgh and now, 13 years on since Ulster last won the competition, 40,000 passionate supporters are expected to travel from Northern Ireland to Twickenham to see if the White Knights can emulate the heroes of 1999.

While Ruan Pienaar and co re-group for the biggest game of their lives, ferry giant Stena Line is ready to play it’s part in a monumental win for Ulster by giving fans the chance to reach the home of English rugby by car, coach or rail.

Fans can take their car on one of Stena Line’s five Irish Sea routes or let the Express coach or train to London take the strain and enjoy the atmosphere at the final.

Digital award is music to NITB’s ears

THE Northern Ireland Tourist Board’s (NITB) online campaign for MTV’s European Music Awards (EMA) has been awarded the Best in Social Media at the Digital Media Awards 2012.
